I thought this was pretty neat:

Class in America

This is an interesting series from the New York Times. It studies, through different articles, pictures, and graphics, class in America. Its a few years old, but that makes it interesting for other reasons. For example in the photo essay about the six figure family, the father foretells that people will regret one day the huge mortgages they bought...and here we are!

Evolution Slider

This is a cool site that lets you see the history of the universe in a matter of minutes. As you slide a pointer along a timeline different things from that era pop up. Pretty neat, check it out!

The Drunken Driver has the Right of Way

I heard this on NPR the other day and thought it was great. So freaking true! I'll post the link to NPR's website just so I'll steer clear of any copywrite laws hopefully. You will have to scroll down a bit to read the poem.

The Start of Something Big

Well, this is my first foray into the field of blogging. I envision this blog as a place to deposit all the things I find neat on the Internet at the present moment. Some posts may all be related to each other and others may jump around to other subjects. I imagine it will be highly geared to science, with a little humor, history, politics, and whatever else thrown in. It will meander through cyberspace much like my attention span. Well, lets get going! Hope you like it and feel free to leave comments!
